Hayes are Hayes' Homegrown Puppies.
 The Lord has blessed us with a
small ranch in Southeast Oklahoma where we raise happy homegrown puppies. We
also raise kids, grandkids, roping cattle and working cattle dogs. We've been
married eleven years and are proud to say we have a well adjusted blended
family. Our kids age range from 25 to 15 and all are our favorites, along with
3 grand kids make for an ever exciting and busy life.
Shelly's love for puppies was
kindled when she was raising her own puppies. After placing her puppies in
homes of friends and neighbors, she was easily able to keep up with them as
they progressed into happy family pets. Shelly was able to help a few other
families place their puppies as well. The thought of puppies placed with
brokers and pet stores and being treated as products rather than members of the
family, with little or no socializing, love or affection seemed heartless and
cruel. Things have gotten hi-tech in the last 8 years, but our goal has not
changed: placing puppies into happy homes.
 We are 4
families that have joined forces to raise Healthy Happy Social Puppies: A
School Teacher and mother of 2 girls, Groomer and mother of 3, Foster Mom and
mother of 5, and me, Full time stay-at-home Mom, mother of 4, with 3
grandbabies. Our puppies are loved on from day one and are cared for
individually with lots of love and devotion.
Some of us do the breeding &
whelping with the dam & sire being part of our families. But I have got the
responsibility and honor of answering emails and phone calls, visiting with
perspective families & placing our little bundles of joy in the right
homes..
After a short period of time, we
start separating them from each other where we let 2 sleep together. But,
gradually, we separate them to where they are sleeping alone, as this prevents
Separation Anxiety after they arrive at their new homes. We continue to work on
potty pads inside and if the weather permits, we make several trips a day
outside. All our puppies are tucked in each night to their own little area with
a nice soft bed on one end, potty pad on the other end, chew toys, water &
food. When morning comes, they are ready for another day.
